By installing, accessing or using the TriviAll app, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By installing, accessing or using the TriviAll application (the 'App'), you fully agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not use the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new conditions.
2. Description of the Service
TriviAll is a free trivia (question and answer) application for entertainment and learning, offering: • Survival mode — competitive play with a timer and global ranking • Themed mode — 10 categories, 3 difficulty levels, progressive stages • Endless mode — unlimited session with automatic saving • Daily Challenge — 5 questions refreshed at midnight • Time Attack mode — as many correct answers as possible in 60 seconds • Monthly Tournament — automatic knockout bracket by country • XP, levels, achievements and daily streak system • Virtual shop with avatars, frames and power-ups • Global, weekly and country rankings • Profile customisation with AI-moderated photos
3. Account and Authentication
The App offers three ways to authenticate via Firebase Authentication: • Anonymous account: created automatically, with no personal data • Email and password: voluntary sign-up with a valid email address • Google Sign-In: authentication via a Google account (where configured) Each account is linked to a unique UID generated by Firebase. You are responsible for the security of your access credentials. Account sharing is not permitted.
4. Nickname and Virtual Identity
When signing up, you choose a nickname that: • Must be unique within the App (checked in real time via Firestore) • Must be between 3 and 20 characters • May not contain profanity or offensive, discriminatory or hateful terms in Portuguese or English — an automatic filter blocks attempts • Will be displayed publicly in the global, weekly and country rankings and in the Tournament • May be changed at any time in your profile, subject to the same rules We reserve the right to remove or force a change of nicknames that breach these rules, even if they passed the automated filter.
5. Profile Photo
The App allows a camera or gallery photo to be used as an avatar. Every uploaded image is analysed automatically by Google ML Kit (Image Labeling) to detect inappropriate content. Images containing adult, violent or offensive content are rejected automatically. The photo is stored locally on the device and is not sent to external servers — only the local path is saved in the database.
6. Virtual Coins and Shop
Coins (🪙) are an in-game virtual currency with no real monetary value. They are: • Earned by playing and by completing challenges and streak milestones • Used to buy premium avatars, profile frames and power-ups • Non-transferable between accounts • Not convertible into real money • Non-refundable under any circumstances The App makes no real-money charges. No in-app purchase requires payment with real money. We reserve the right to adjust prices, item availability and shop mechanics without prior notice.
7. Rankings and Tournaments
By playing the competitive modes, you agree that: • Your highest Survival score is submitted automatically to the public ranking • Your nickname and score are visible to all users in the global, weekly and country rankings • In the Monthly Tournament you may be entered automatically among the top 16 in your country based on the survival ranking — with no manual sign-up • Tournaments use deterministic questions (the same quiz for both players) to ensure fair play • Any attempt to manipulate scores or use unauthorised means will result in a ban
8. Notifications
The App sends local notifications (generated by the device itself, with no server) for: • A daily reminder at 7pm with a motivational message to play — the message varies each day so it isn't repetitive • A weekly notice (Sunday at 7pm) about the end of the ranking period • Notice of achievements unlocked during play The 7pm daily reminder is suppressed automatically on days when you have already completed the Daily Challenge. You can enable or disable each type of notification individually in the App Settings, or disable all of them in your device settings. Disabling them does not affect how the game works.
9. Intellectual Property
All App content — including source code, design, icons, avatars, the name 'TriviAll', logos and original text — is the exclusive property of the developer. Reproduction, copying, redistribution or commercialisation without express written permission is prohibited. The English questions are provided by the Open Trivia Database (opentdb.com) under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). The Portuguese questions come from our own database.
10. Prohibited Conduct
The following is expressly prohibited: • Using bots, scripts or any automation to manipulate scores • Creating fake or multiple accounts to game the rankings • Attempting to access, modify or interfere with the Firebase servers • Reverse-engineering, decompiling or modifying the App • Using the App for illegal, offensive or discriminatory purposes • Sharing access credentials with third parties • Using nicknames or profile photos with offensive content • Attempting to bypass the profanity filter using symbol or special-character variations
11. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the App, any feature or any content at any time, with or without prior notice. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions, including loss of virtual coins, achievements or game data.
12. Limitation of Liability
TriviAll is provided 'as is', without express or implied warranties of continuous availability, freedom from errors or fitness for a particular purpose. Under no circumstances will the developer be liable for direct, indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
13. Minors
The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. Users under 18 must have the consent of a legal guardian to use the App and to create an account with email or Google. In the EEA, where consent is the legal basis, the age of digital consent varies between 13 and 16 depending on the country (GDPR Art. 8) — below that age, a guardian must give or authorise consent. Processing of minors' data also follows COPPA in the United States.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, where the developer is established. Any dispute will be settled in the developer's jurisdiction. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence, nor of your data protection rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or equivalent local law.
